An exciting transformation is set to unfold in Milwaukee’s east side as a cherished food hall makes way for an innovative dining experience. Nadi Plates, a Waukesha-based family-operated business known for its authentic and inventive Italian dishes, will soon open its first permanent establishment at the former Crossroads Collective site located at 2238 N. Farwell Ave. This expansive 7,000-square-foot venue will serve dual purposes: a vibrant restaurant and a centralized culinary hub supporting their mobile catering operations, including their popular food trucks and stall at Food Truck Alley at American Family Field.
As part of this transition, the production center will relocate from Waukesha to the east side premises by May, with renovations scheduled to complete later in the fall when the restaurant is expected to open. Chef-owner Nadia Santaniello Bucholtz, whose passion for Italian cuisine stems from her family roots in Naples, Italy, expresses excitement about returning to the community where her journey began. She envisions the new space as not only a place to bring neighbors closer but also an opportunity to celebrate the essence of Italian culture through shared meals, fine wines, and meaningful connections. Her culinary creations blend traditional recipes passed down through generations with modern street food twists, offering something unique yet familiar to diners.

In addition to serving classic Italian fare, Nadi Plates plans to introduce a full bar featuring craft cocktails alongside European-style espresso drinks catered towards morning patrons. Throughout the summer months leading up to the grand opening, pop-up events are planned outside the future restaurant location on Ivanhoe Place, inviting the community to participate in these pre-launch celebrations.
